Over a hundred motor vehicle technicians from garages across Suffolk and beyond gained the low-down on vehicle contamination from experts at leading lubricant manufacturer Forté, when they recently took part in a training evening held at the Ipswich Holiday Inn.
Attendees of garage owners and technicians took part in Forté’s ‘Introduction to Contamination’ seminar, which examines how contamination in the fuel and oil systems of modern cars can build up leading to component failure and how it can be resolved through the use of advanced fuel and engine treatments.
Feedback on the event was very positive, with one participant saying that information from the training had given him the confidence to tackle problems with Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs), enabling him to take on more work and earn more money.
Another participant commented that they had attended a number of training events during their 15 years of trading and that the Forté seminar was one of the best they had ever taken part in.
Phil Dugmore MIMI, Forté’s National Account Manager who presented the seminar, concludes: “We are delighted that our motor industry colleagues from across Suffolk found the training evening to be both enjoyable and informative and welcomed the chance to provide an insight into how contamination can affect modern vehicles and how it can be treated effectively. Forté has a long-standing commitment to sharing technical knowledge and expertise on all matters relating to vehicle contamination.”
