A vehicle’s cooling system is sometimes overlooked during servicing, therefore a dedicated winter service can be a good profit generator for garages. There are also fuel consumption gains to be made by motorists - especially welcome in view of rising fuel prices.
It is a known fact that vehicles need to operate at their optimum running temperature in order to provide
maximum fuel efficiency. Temperature sensors in the engine block relay information to the ECU, which controls the required fuel supply for the given temperature. Maintaining the correct engine running   temperature   is  vital  in  cold   weather  to  optimise efficiency and performance - which means less fuel consumption. A cooling system service can also detect potential overheating problems.

To help garages restore vehicles to their optimum performance, we have devised and introduced a "27 Point Winter Check and Cooling Service". The check also includes lights, wipers and tyres, in addition to the cooling system. The service itself covers the removal of lime scale and rust deposits, the draining of old coolant, refilling with fresh coolant along with our specially formulated Cooling System Conditioner.
